This customer was plagued with constant issues and failures from this system that was nearing the end of its usable life cycle. This at&t Spirit was the very first 4 wire phone system from at&t which set the standard for most modern systems to come after. We eventually sold and installed a new phone system at this location. As for the Spirit which I’m told was installed used at this location, they’re guessing around 40 years ago. We stripped out the system and all the wiring for recycling. When we have the privilege to get ahold of tech this old I generally consider it irresponsible to send it to the recycling. If I ever get parts of this age still in a useable condition they will get cleaned up and resold or in this case donated to an organization for collection and preservation. As for all the old building wire and broken equipment, that will always be recycled to the best of our abilities.
